Season Opening Hike of the Butzweiler Local Heritage Association e.V. +++ May 3, 2026 (Sunday) +++ 11:00 AM
For our opening hike on May 3, 2026, we have chosen the circular route "Ruwer-Hochwald Loop".
The trail is marked at 12.6 km with an estimated walking time of 4 hours. In 2011, the path was rated with 79 points by the German Hiking Institute.
The hike is characterized by quiet forest paths and beautiful meadow trails with views of the Black Forest Hochwald and the Hunsrück.
In between, impressive quartzite rock formations await.
The view from the summit cross of the Gipfelkopf over the heights of the Black Forest Hochwald is breathtaking.
We have planned the conclusion at the country inn Kopp in Hentern.
Departure is on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the fountain in Butzweiler - "Klaus-Pauli-Platz". As usual, we will carpool.
