The Mullerthal region is a fabulous landscape with countless rugged, sometimes jagged, red sandstone rock formations created by natural erosion. This unmistakably diverse landscape, which can be regarded as a unique biotope, has given this area in Luxembourg its name - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland - as it is very reminiscent of the landscape of Switzerland. To protect this fantastic natural heritage, the Mëllerdal Nature & Geopark was founded in 2016. This constellation has made it possible to take into account the Mëllerdal's worthiness of protection, from which many tourists and locals benefit and get to know and appreciate it as a hiking area par excellence.
