Some hiking tours are linked to other circular tours and can be combined on request.
Welcome to the tour "On Jewish tracks in Aach". The work group "Jewish Aach" has gathered material, researched in archives, interviewed contemporary witnesses, discovered historical pictures and letters with survivors. The following guided tour will show some of the results. It mainly moves along the busy thoroughfare.
Meulenwald Round tour
Lovely farmhouses, small villages, beautiful views catch the eye.
This hiking trail stands out, due to its diverse landscape, accompanying you during your adventure.
Ralingen - Rosport
The ´`Römerpfad`` is a premium walk. It leads past many Roman sights and along the waterfalls, one of the most beautiful hiking areas in the district of Trier-Saarburg.
Start is at the sports field in Udelfangen. From there it goes in the direction of Kersch, along the Katzbach, past former quarries, through an untouched forest piece. The tour passes through the small village of Kerscherbach. The path leads to Trierweiler via meadows and paddocks. Over the highest peak "the Mohrenkopf" the way goes through a quiet forest back to Udelfangen.
The easy hiking tour leads to a panoramic view at the top of the Schilzenburg as the highlight.
This route requires some endurance. The start at the observation tower Rodt with the panoramic view over the Eifel is great. The trail partially runs along the "Premiumwanderweg" Eifelsteig. The hike is varied, there is a lot to see and discover as for example; parts of a reconstructed Roman wall, a former horse watering place, the "Kaiserlinde" and the "Heimatmuseum". Continue to the water staircase, which promises refreshment during the summer. Through a natural forest part, the path leads back across the Grundgräben to Schleidweiler. The small Kreuzwegkapelle (chapel), which rises on a hill, invites you to linger. Engaged citizens have lovingly designed the surroundings of the chapel.
