This varied loop hike on both sides of the Sauer River takes you, among other places, along the Müllertal Trail and the local Rosport R8 trail on the Luxembourg side, and along the Matthiasweg and Felsenweg 4 trails on the German side.
Along the way, you’ll encounter numerous bizarre rock formations as well as beautiful views of the Sauer Valley and the Southern Eifel.
The route is approximately 16 km long with 360 hm of elevation gain and is of moderate difficulty; in some places, sure-footedness is required,
and a hiking pole may be helpful.

Bring a packed lunch; a stop for refreshments at the end can be arranged.
