Langsur is home to several family-owned wineries that continue a long-standing winegrowing tradition. The principal grape variety cultivated here is Elbling, one of Europe's oldest grape varieties, whose origins can be traced back to Roman times.

These include the joint German-Luxembourg fire station in Born, which is shared by the fire brigades of Born (Luxembourg) and Metzdorf (Germany), as well as the jointly operated German-Luxembourg Tourist Information Centre in Wasserbilligerbrück.
