Description

In the footsteps of the Romans from Konz to Trier

A stage entirely dedicated to the ancient Romans: starting point is Konz.

After crossing the river Mosel, you have the opportunity to stop at the UNESCO World Heritage site "Igeler Säule" - a Roman tomb, which today is 23 meters high. On the following route, nature, despite its proximity to the city Trier, surprises with its abundance. After a short climb, you will descend to the "Busental" (valley). The way leads to Germany's oldest city - and to its world-famous, well-preserved Roman buildings and UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the Porta Nigra. The university town also has a lively and extremely attractive old town.
