Tour Luxembourg

Discover the Grand Duchy´s two tourist cicites ``par excellence``: the capital Luxembourg with its UNESCO World heritage old town and the abbey city of Echternach.

The first part of the tour easily follows a former railway track. You cycle around Luxembourg city on a shadowy path along the Alzette river.

The itinerary meanders through woods and vineyards to reach the wine town of Remich. Following the wide Mosel valley, you cycle downstream to the country´s lowest geographical point in Wasserbillig, after crossing the formerly fortified city of Grevenmacher. Through a splendid green landscape the route then follows the river Sûre from its mouth into the Mosel back to Echternach.
