Sauer Valley Cycle Route

Langsur

The Sauer Valley Cycle Route begins in Wasserbillig and runs along a disused railway line, through a beautiful landscape of vineyards and picturesque villages in the Luxembourgish countryside. It’s interesting to note that around 200m of the route between Metzdorf and Wintersdorf is mounted on stilts in order to protect the valuable wetland underneath.

You’ll also be impressed by the 336m long Ralinger tunnel, which dates back to 1914 and is naturally lit. The route continues through a landscape of diverse natural beauty and passes the towns of Echternach and Bollendorf, where you might want to stay a while. Bollendorf’s main attraction is Bollendorf Castle, built in 1619. It was once the summer residence of the Echternach convent.

If you can’t decide which side of the Sauer to cycle on, don’t worry – there are plenty of bridges which you can use to cross to the other side.

Our campsite is centrally located in the German Eifel between Trier (Germany) and Echternach (Luxembourg). A unique place, near beautiful nature and picturesque places.

Our campsite has large plots along the Sauer and is equipped with all conveniences. There is a separate field for tents. The caravans and campers, have squares on grass or paved surface.

"Alter Bahnhof" is not only unique because of its generous design and location, but also for its hospitality.

The campsite offers a well-maintained and handicapped accessible bathroom and shower area, a washer and dryer, a TV room with large screen and a bicycle rental. ( reservation in advance necessary)

Camping du Barrage

Beautiful camping-site for families and people keen on sports, not far from the "Mullerthal" and close to the Sauer barrier lake in Rosport. Due to its location, Rosport is perfect for bicycle or hiking tours. You can rent bikes, canoes and kajaks right at the camping site. Enjoy some water ski or do Stand Up Paddling on the Sauer. If you just want to enjoy the good weather, you can take a swim in the public swimming pool right next to the camping site.

Mobile Homes:

If you don`t own a camping car or a tent, you can also rent our comfortable mobile homes!

They consist of two separate bedrooms for four guests and an open living and cooking area.
